The Senior Estimation Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for preparing complete, accurate estimates for all contract types (EPC & Construction) in Oil & Gas, Chemical / Petrochemical, and Fertilizer Projects. Estimation experience in onshore as well as offshore projects is desired. Responsibilities :
Prepare detailed, accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontracts, and construction facilities estimates for Mechanical Scope, including Steel Structure, Mechanical Equipment (Static & Rotating), Piping & Specialties, Pipeline & Components. Attend on-site pre-bid / proposal meetings and site visits; prepare Site Visit reports. Develop detailed EPC Scope Matrix covering all Engineering Deliverables as per Tender scope, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom disciplines. Prepare RFQ Packages for procurement quotes for all items under Mechanical scope. Prepare Pre-bid Technical Clarification requests to obtain Client Clarification responses. Coordinate with all disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation) for inputs to compile the complete Technical and Commercial Proposal. Prepare RFQ Packages for subcontractor quotes; send RFQs, obtain quotes. Review subcontractor scopes of work; analyze quotes for best value. Prepare project bid status reports; ensure compliance with specifications, contract Statements of Work, and Bid Invitations. Identify risks; analyze and allocate risk factors to determine contingencies. Prepare detailed cost estimates for the complete EPC Mechanical scope, considering Tender Scope, specifications, and conditions. Develop scope specifications, project schedules, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare cost estimates for review. Prepare Project Execution plans / Method Statements for Technical Proposal. Use company and industry norms for pricing estimates, including labor hours for fabrication and erection. Contribute to project scheduling, including engineering durations, procurement, and construction timelines; review for alignment with milestones. Compile complete Technical and Commercial Proposal for management review and client submission. Prepare technical presentations for client clarification meetings. Prepare post-contract execution budgets, handover documents, review contract drafts, and identify deviations from tender submissions. Preferred Candidate :
Graduate Degree in Engineering 10-12 years of estimating experience in Oil & Gas projects, with at least 4-5 years of field exposure / project execution. Familiar with engineering and construction nomenclature for effective communication. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and organize construction plans and specifications. Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Skills :
