Principal Engineering System Engineer

Wood is actively seeking applications for Principal Engineering System Engineer role to support future growth in our expanding business. The projects team focuses on delivering across FEED, Pre-FEED, Brownfield, and Greenfield scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of project work in accordance with the project execution plan, including Wood and / or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man-hour, cost and the project schedule targets.

This is a long-term assignment based in Qatar.

Qualifications

Well established industry reputation, typically 15 years experience

Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.

Positive and practical with an ability to think strategically.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of business processes, data and IT systems utilised within an industrial and corporate environment.

Excellent understanding of business and technology trends, with a strong understanding of underlying systems and data. Understand how data driven insights inform and unlock better decision-making and value generation

Experience contributing to engineering discussions, technology decisions and strategy relating to delivering client facing products

Experience working in cross-functional teams with the ability to influence, build relationships and sell ideas to stakeholders, clients and partners, sometimes in challenging circumstances
