The Principal Scrum Master oversees the agile processes within AI projects, ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum methodologies. This role involves facilitating Scrum events, removing impediments, and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure successful project delivery across all AI sections and teams. Responsibilities and Duties
Facilitate Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure the Scrum process is understood and followed by the team across AI sections. Remove impediments and resolve conflicts to enable the team’s progress. Support the Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog and ensuring it is well-defined and prioritized. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team. Mentor and support team members in agile practices and principles. Track and report on project progress, ensuring transparency and accountability. Supervise other Scrum Masters in AI sections and collaborate with agile teams to share best practices and improve overall agile processes across the AI department. Participate in project planning and contribute to the development of project timelines and deliverables. Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Perform other duties relevant to the job as assigned by the Head of AI Excellence or senior management. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM)) are preferred Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management or Scrum Master roles Experience in managing agile projects in an AI-focused environment is preferred Strong knowledge of Scrum and agile methodologies Excellent facilitation and communication skills Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively In-depth understanding of agile principles and practices Familiarity with AI technologies and project management tools Ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) Proficiency with collaboration and communication tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams) Knowledge of reporting and analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI)
