The Project Manager for the Live Events at Dow Jones plays a crucial role in producing high-quality live events and experiences for the company. This role involves creative, logistical, and project management oversight, including event planning and coordination to ensure successful execution. The ideal candidate will be versatile, with a strong understanding of project and event management, and capable of supporting various project aspects. The Project Manager should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, a creative problem solver, calm under pressure, and possess strong communication skills, contributing to a collaborative team environment. Reporting to the Events Director, the responsibilities include : Providing logistical support for webinars, conferences, exhibitions, receptions, and corporate brand events. Managing event day operations, including setup, registration, and attendee engagement. Creating and managing project plans. Supporting venue, excursion, and sponsor site visits. Collaborating with local and international production and hospitality partners. Facilitating communication between local partners and global stakeholders. Designing presentations, briefing materials, and project documentation. Conducting industry and competitive research. Partnering with marketing teams on event marketing and attendee record management. Supporting financial workflows, including budgeting and reconciliation. Assisting with meeting schedules, correspondence, travel planning, and onsite event participation. Leading specific projects to align event content and experience with goals. Providing project management support daily and strategically. Acting as a confidant and advisor within the team. Partnering cross-functionally across Dow Jones. Qualifications include : Remote work within Doha until the office opens, with occasional virtual meetings aligned with US east coast hours. Knowledge of regional events, venues, and vendors. 7+ years of experience in the events industry. Experience supporting global events operations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Interest in experiential activations, production, event planning, and hospitality is a plus. Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment. Proactive, with strong multitasking and project management skills. Experience working cross-functionally and managing stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office, Google applications, and data analytics is advantageous.
