About the Role
As Director of Membership, you will lead the strategic development and execution of all membership initiatives. Your focus will be on driving acquisition, enhancing retention, and cultivating meaningful relationships that reflect the highest standards of luxury hospitality. This role requires a balance of strategic vision, commercial acumen, and genuine passion for people and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive membership acquisition and retention strategies to achieve annual growth objectives.
- Lead and mentor the membership team responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and long‑term engagement.
- Analyze membership data, market insights, and trends to identify growth opportunities and enhance member satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, events, and operations teams to create high‑impact campaigns and initiatives that boost member engagement.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with current and prospective members, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Oversee the creation of high‑quality membership materials, communications, and promotional assets.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of membership programs, recommending improvements and innovations where necessary.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and global trends in private club management, applying insights to refine strategies and elevate experiences.
Qualifications & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).Proven experience in membership management within luxury hospitality or private club environments.Demonstrated success in designing and executing membership acquisition and retention programs.Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high‑performing teams.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.Analytical and data‑driven, with a strategic mindset for problem‑solving and optimization.Proficiency in membership management and CRM software.Innovative thinker with the agility to adapt to changing markets and member needs.Commitment to delivering exceptional service and upholding brand standards of excellence.Additional Requirements
