JobTitle Data Governance Officer

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Functional Role :

To be able to takeownership on Data governance projects by communicating withdifferent Business

departments Data Owners andData Stewards.

Facilitate the development andimplementation of data quality standards across theorganization

Serve as a focal point betweenBusiness areas and technology to ensure that data relatedbusiness

requirements considered as part ofoperational prioritization and planning.

To haveexcellent knowledge in Data Mapping with Business requirementsprepare technical as well

as functionalmapping.

Have experience in Analyzing the Sourcesystems identify & document data quality issues anddata

synchronization issues and provide rootcause analysis.

Should have good exposure increating data quality rules and meta data management

Guide the data design of solutions for large projects andprograms; through expert knowledge translate

highlevel business requirements into data models andappropriate metadata test data and data quality

standards.

Ensure technology solutionsare aligned with data architecture principles and targetstate.

Oversee endtoend data lifecyclemanagement activities.

Ensure business reportsand metrics derived from controlled data are consistent andrepresentative of

the true state of thebusiness.

Enterprise data management data integration data securitymetadata management master data

management datagovernance data warehousing and data quality –Advanced.

Data Lineage Advanced

Business Glossary Advanced

Enterprisedata architecture for both transactional and analytical platforms– Advanced.

Data Governance Tools– Advanced

Strong understanding ofAgile methodologies – Advanced.

Datavisualization and selfservice BI / analytics tools– Intermediate.

Strong communication(written spoken) and presentation skills are required.

Qualifications& Experience

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree incomputer science MIS Computer Engineering or related field required(master’s degree preferred)

ProjectManagement Professional (PMP) preferable.

PreferredExperience :

7 years of datasolution architecture design and development experience across bothOLTP systems and data warehouses.

5 years indata governance & master data management.

3 years in reporting analytics

Priorexperience in Banking / Financial Services industry is stronglypreferred.
