Overview
Develop plans and schedules for Department Track progress against schedules Recommend and evaluate procedures and practices to improve operational efficiency and for alternatives to enhance performance (including outsourcing services) Attend project review meetings to evaluate progress of ongoing construction or maintenance activities Liaise with Manager of O&M Department to understand maintenance plans and adherence to deadlines by third-party (outsourcing) Contractors Develop and be responsible for final review of maintenance plans Liaise with internal / external Project Manager to understand implications of their design / construction on maintenance and ongoing operation Direct and organise a master plan for O&M Department Direct and organise advance maintenance management programmes for drainage infrastructure Coordinate Ashghal’s planned maintenance activities with external and internal departments and outsourced companies Monitor and supervise the operation of installed computerized asset management system for infrastructure Finalize Budget reviews to compare with plan as well as previous year’s costs Highlight business risks to the Manager of O&M Department based on Plan and progress information, especially at critical points and milestones Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University Member of a Recognised Body e.g. Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer or Equivalent Certification in Project Management Minimum 8 years of experience in planning / project controlling Broad experience in construction with demonstrated experience in Operations and Maintenance plans and schedules for roads and / or drainage projects (e.g., maintenance schedules for wastewater treatment plants) Experience in projects involving Government Departments and Outsourced Consultants Familiar with Planning / Project control software e.g. Primavera 6, Microsoft Project Control, Visio Familiar with corporate management plans Project Management Method / Practice or equivalent Ability to direct employees and contractors clearly and authoritatively while upholding Ashghal values and relationships Ability to understand information from multiple perspectives to ensure both operational and customer perspectives are considered when assessing H&S risks and implementing solutions About The Company
