Job Title :  Commissioning Coordinator

Location :  Qatar

Industry :  Oil & Gas / Hydrocarbon Processing

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in  Chemical Engineering ,  Process Engineering ,  Mechanical Engineering , or an equivalent discipline.

Experience :

  • Minimum 15 years  of experience in  design, construction, commissioning, and start-up  of major  onshore hydrocarbon processing facilities .
  • At least  8 years  in a  Commissioning Lead or Coordinator  role with major  Project Management Consultancies  or  international EPIC Contractors .

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and coordinate all  commissioning activities  for assigned projects.
  • Develop and implement the  Project Commissioning Strategy  in alignment with contract requirements and client expectations.
  • Participate in  HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, SIMOP  and other safety reviews during the design phase.
  • Review and approve  commissioning and performance test procedures  for all systems and subsystems.
  • Organize and manage the  commissioning team , including manpower and equipment planning.
  • Oversee the  execution of commissioning activities , ensuring alignment with project timelines and safety standards.
  • Monitor and report progress on  mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning .
  • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders for  system handovers  and  project close-out .
  • Ensure compliance with  Permit-to-Work systems , safety regulations, and corporate procedures.
  • Facilitate  on-the-job training (OJT)  for Qatari engineers and end-user personnel.

    • Additional Requirements :

  • Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with international commissioning standards and best practices.
