Registered Nurse – OPD

Overview

The Registered Nurse Outpatient provides professional nursing care to patients in an outpatient / ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, coordinating care, administering treatments and medications, assisting with procedures, and educating patients and families on health management. The role ensures quality, safe, and compassionate care in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational policies while supporting physicians and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient / ambulatory setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, injections, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist physicians with outpatient procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs, and progress in medical records.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times.
• Support patient triage and prioritize care based on urgency.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment, supplies, and clinical resources.
