FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Job Responsibilities Operate forklifts (counterbalance reach trucks order pickers) safely and efficiently to move materials around a warehouse factory or yard. Load and unload materials from trucks shelves racks and production areas. Transport raw materials to production lines and move finished goods to storage. Stack and organize pallets and products in designated storage areas ensuring stability and maximizing space. Perform pre-operation checks on the forklift (e.g. brakes horns forks fluid levels) and report any defects. Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and radio frequency (RF) scanners to track inventory movements accurately. Weigh materials and record weight and movement data as required. Adhere to all safety guidelines including speed limits pedestrian right-of-way and proper lifting techniques to prevent damage to goods and injury to personnel. Keep the work area clean and organized. Assist in routine inventory counts.
