HSE Officer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented HSE Officer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations at our project sites. The HSE Officer will conduct regular inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and environmentally compliant working environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of project sites to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Monitor adherence to workplace safety protocols and review emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Ensure that all safety and environmental equipment and systems are properly maintained and operational.
• Track and report on HSE performance metrics and compliance with standards.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
• Ensure that all personnel are aware of and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team on HSE-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of HSE inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on HSE performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address HSE concerns and ensure compliance.
• Communicate HSE expectations and requirements to all personnel on-site.
• Participate in HSE meetings and provide updates on HSE performance and initiatives.
• Respond to emergency situations and coordinate timely resolution of HSE issues.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Conducts accident investigations and prepares incident investigation reports.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 : 2018 and ISO 14001 : 2015.
• Review and comment on contractor safety plans and RAMS.
• Develop the Project Safety, Health, and Environmental Plan.
• Conducts the New Hire Safety Orientation for new staff.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
