Overview

Job Specification : All project Marine Units’ safety and quality assurance activities shall be stewarded and executed by the Construction Lead HU Marine / Logistics who will also function as a focal point throughout the Marine Execution phase of the Project. Maintain a robust and effective Marine Assurance and compliance process for the Offshore Spread operating within your defined project group. Support the Marine Assurance processes integration and standardization in collaboration with the MPMCF and OPCO Marine. Guide and support projects teams with extensive knowledge of protocols and best practices in the Maritime Industry. Review and analyze technical marine operational challenges, develop, recommend, and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Steward and execute safety and quality assurance activities for all project Marine Units as Construction Lead HU Marine / Logistics, serving as the focal point during Marine Execution.
  • Maintain a robust Marine Assurance and compliance process for the Offshore Spread within the defined project group.
  • Support integration and standardization of Marine Assurance processes in collaboration with MPMCF and OPCO Marine.
  • Guide and support project teams with knowledge of protocols and best practices in the Maritime Industry.
  • Review and analyze technical marine operational challenges and develop, recommend, and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Sciences, Marine disciplines or Engineering, or Diploma in Marine or Nautical disciplines and STCW II / 2, STCW III / 2 Certification. Knowledge and / or Experience
  • The Project Marine Coordinator shall be experienced in handling / managing offshore marine units operating in the oil and gas industry.
  • 8 years seagoing experience as a shipboard engineer or sea officer, including 1 year as Chief Engineer or Master.
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of critical marine operations including offshore construction inclusive of vessel movements such as jack-up barges, rigs and barge / vessel cranes.
  • Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning Systems & Operations, DP FMEA Analysis, DP FMEA Proving Trials, Annual DP Trials, ASOG / CAM.
  • Experienced in managing Marine Assurance & Compliance processes, following corporate requirements and international standards.
  • Knowledgeable in International Maritime Regulations, Codes and Standards.
  • Experience within the Middle East region is advantageous.
  • Previous Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) and Marine Consultancy experience is advantageous (Preferably OVID accreditation).
