Refrigeration / Heating,Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician (SCA23410)

Description : The designee shall bequalified to install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repairheating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC / R)systems. Performs scheduled periodic maintenance and seasonaloverhaul on systems and components to ensure maximum efficiency.Performs planning activities, and facility surveys. Manages HVAC / Rfuel emissions and refrigerant handling programs and activities tosupport various ACCOM systems identified in Table 6.1. Suites ofSystems and Support Equipment.

Education : HighSchool diploma or GED. Must have applicable CFC / EPA certificationsuch as Section 608 Certification (Universal). Formal HVAC / Rtraining such as : military technical training school, vocationalcollege, and / or a four (4) year apprentice program with experiencein HVAC / R maintenance and repair.

Experience : Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment thetechnician will maintain.
