Data Analyst

Job Purpose Support the data and information systems for Reservoir and Geosciences, with a specific focus on Petrophysics data stewardship. Provide assistance across related data domains, including Geology and Reservoir, ensuring effective data integration within ROS and between ROS and other entities. Facilitate collaboration across Geoscience, Production, and Drilling disciplines to maintain data quality and consistency.

Key Accountabilities

Support the delivery and management of Geoscience and Reservoir Management databases and associated data solutions and tools (Corporate Reservoir Database).

Act as focal point and Data Steward for Petrophysics data types, including logs, core data, fluids, and pressures in raw, processed, and interpreted forms.

Provide support for data visualization, analytics tools, and dashboards within the RGS domain.

Source, prepare, and manipulate subsurface and reservoir data for loading into corporate systems.

Ensure timely quality control (QC), loading, and delivery of reservoir data, adhering to confidentiality and governance procedures.

Identify opportunities to improve data quality, eliminate duplication, and enhance database connectivity.

Contribute to the implementation of CMS data standards and continuous data quality improvement processes.

Define, map, and streamline data workflows for RGS processes, with a particular focus on Petrophysics and Reservoir domains.

Maintain and optimize database integrity across corporate, reference, and project databases.

Requirements Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.

Professional Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering (RE) data management and / or data analysis.

Strong understanding of geosciences and reservoir data, applications, and workflows.

Experience working with large datasets and proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Visual Basic, or similar).

Familiarity with query languages (e.g., SQL).

Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
