Key Responsibilities

Direct and oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and cash flow management.

Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's business goals and drive profitability.

Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular financial forecasts to track performance against strategic targets.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and improved performance.

Implement and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including IFRS.

Oversee project budgets, track costs, and manage contracts for large Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects.

Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

Qualifications and Skills

Typically requires 10–15+ years of experience in finance, with significant managerial experience within the oil and gas industry.

A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business Administration is required.

Globally recognized professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or CMA are often preferred or mandatory.

Proficiency with advanced ERP systems (e.g., SAP), financial modeling, and business intelligence tools such as Microsoft PowerBI.

Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management capabilities.

Deep understanding of the oil and gas sector, including commodity price volatility, capital-intensive projects, and regulatory complexities.

Work Environment Location : Qatar, a major global hub for the energy industry.

Reporting : Senior-level position reporting to a Finance Director / CFO.

Salary Range : QAR 55‑65K.
