Ruya Lead Cost Engineer
- Contract Duration : 1st January 2026 – 30th Sep 2027
- Work location : Doha
- Work Schedule : 8-10 hours per day from Sunday to Thursday
Minimum Requirements
Qualification : Degree in Economics or EquivalentMinimum 15 years’ experience in similar activities for oil & gas ProjectsAdvanced Knowledge and experience in use of relevant computer systems (SAP, PALM system, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI)EPC contractors’ mechanismsGood to have experience with Total Energy / North oil companyCompliance with applicable safety instruction and other Company H'SE procedures in all activitiesWork in compliance with Company values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed Company priorities and objectives, Company standards and procedures and good industry practicesTreat all information obtained during the course of the work with confidentialityThe Cost Controller may have to travel to such places especially during initial setup of cost system with Contractor.Budget
Prepare for review dedicated LOP and LRBP data for the projectPrepare for review the detailed annual budget and updates in line with various internal entities and in agreement with the client budget standard format provided by financeClosure
Prepare the monthly closure and ensure accruals done by the package cost controllers in PALM system are in accordance with current package and overall project(s) progressCost reporting
Issue a detailed internal and external monthly cost report (Trends, Areas of Concern, Budget Variance analysis)Ensure correct and auditable records of all matters with Project expenditures, contracts, budgets, cash flows, forecasts, etc.Monitor invoice processing, in liaison with client accounting department to enable timely payment of invoicesOrganization
Coordinate and standardize EPC cost controllers activities across the multiple packages and locations of the projectDevelop, communicate and implement procedures to ensure the efficient organization and operation of the Project budget and cost control activitiesAdvise, during project setup post award, contractors on key commercial requirements (invoicing format and submission, cost reporting, etc.)Anticipate additional requirement for cost control support during execution of the project(s)General
