Main Responsibilities
The Student Security Officer contributes to a secure, safe, orderly, and disciplined environment for students and adults that supports learning and teaching by helping ensure students adhere to school rules, policies, and procedures, and teachers fulfill their supervisory duties effectively during recess and transitions.
Main Duties
- Inspect students’ uniforms in the classrooms to ensure adherence to the school’s dress code.
- Supervise student compliance with school regulations, including restrictions on mobile phone use and other prohibited gadgets and items.
- Provide assistance to teachers in managing classroom behavior and addressing urgent issues.
- Monitor and help address issues with student movement during transition periods, including arrival, noon, before recess, and dismissal, to ensure safe and orderly transitions.
- Monitor teachers’ compliance with their responsibilities during school recess, to help ensure punctuality and effective supervision.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or conflicts, ensuring swift resolution and communication with relevant parties.
- Report any violations of school regulations or policies made by students or school staff to the Counselor, Vice Principal or Principal as required.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and attend staff meetings as required.
- Performs other related, similar, or logical duties as required or assigned.
