Job Purpose

To assist in delivering a personalized refined and anticipatory butler service to Raffles Dohas distinguished guests. The Assistant Butler plays a crucial role in creating a seamless luxurious guest journey by attending to their needs with discretion precision and grace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a warm elegant and anticipatory welcome and farewell to guests.
  • Handle in-room check-ins / check-outs packing / unpacking and valet services.
  • Ensure guest preferences, special requests and VIP setups are executed flawlessly.
  • Provide discreet and efficient service maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and guest privacy.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Housekeeping, In-Room Dining, Spa, Concierge) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Conduct room inspections prior to guest arrivals and after departures.
  • Restock and maintain the guests personal amenities, minibar and stationary as per standards.
  • Handle guest laundry, pressing and shoe-shining requests with care.
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles and preferences using the property management system.

Administrative & Coordination Duties

  • Liaise with the Head Butler to ensure proper guest assignment and workload distribution.
  • Prepare daily reports on guest preferences, feedback and special occasions.
  • Ensure guest histories are accurately maintained and communicated across teams.
  • Professionalism & Grooming

  • Maintain impeccable grooming etiquette and uniform standards at all times.
  • Be a true Raffles ambassador embodying the service philosophy : “We are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.”
  • Continuously update service knowledge and skills through on‑the‑job training and learning modules.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience in a luxury hotel or private residence in a guest‑facing role (Butler, Concierge, VIP Host etc.).
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (French, Arabic, Russian etc.) are an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, poise and an intuitive approach to service.
  • Knowledge of luxury etiquette, service protocol and handling high‑profile / VIP guests.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Familiarity with Forbes 5‑Star service standards is a strong plus.
