Job Description
Conduct field inspections and audits of KAHRAMAA facilities, substations, workshops, warehouses, and project sites to ensure compliance with fire safety and loss prevention standards.
Review and verify life safety designs for new and existing facilities in line with KAHRAMAA, QCDD, and NFPA requirements.
Review and approve drawings, test reports, method statements, and material submittals related to loss prevention systems.
Supervise and monitor site activities, pre-commissioning, and testing of loss prevention systems, ensuring all works comply with KAHRAMAA HSE specifications.
Evaluate and approve materials and equipment used for fire detection, suppression, and smoke management systems to confirm compliance with international standards.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal departments on all loss prevention and fire safety-related activities.
Review and comment on As-built drawings, O&M manuals , and other technical documentation.
Apply in-depth understanding of fire protection system design , fire dynamics , and risk analysis techniques (qualitative and quantitative) in project evaluations.
Ensure compliance with QCDD regulations, NFPA Codes & Standards , and act as an active NFPA member .
Contribute to continuous improvement of fire safety procedures , evacuation planning , and means of egress design .
Prepare technical reports and recommendations for corrective and preventive measures.
Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills with a proactive approach to safety management.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Loss Prevention Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience : Minimum of 10 years in loss prevention engineering, preferably within the utilities (power and water) sector.
Proven background in design, inspection, erection, and commissioning of loss prevention systems and conducting fire risk assessments .
Certification : Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) from NFPA (mandatory).
Language Skills : Fluent in English (spoken & written); Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
Technical Skills : Proficient in MS Office, report writing, and presentation skills.
Must be available for mobile communication during and outside office hours for emergency contact.
Must pass written assessment and interview conducted by KAHRAMAA.
Valid Qatar Driving License required.
