Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North is a 345‑key hotel with a souq (11,000 sqm), a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and showcases Qatar as a tourism destination. Qetaifan Island North’s Meryal Waterpark attraction is one of the country’s biggest draws. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

This position will be responsible for the park’s daily operations—driving excellence in guest satisfaction, safety, team performance, and financial success. It will lead diverse teams across multiple departments, ensuring seamless coordination and an exceptional visitor experience every day.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of waterpark operations, including attractions, lifeguard services, guest relations, maintenance, F&B, and retail.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer service are consistently maintained.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop departmental managers and frontline team to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures and emergency action plans to guarantee operational consistency and guest safety.
  • Plan and implement seasonal events, capacity management, and crowd flow strategies to optimize guest experience.
  • Analyze operational performance, guest feedback, and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage budgets, cost controls, and performance reports while ensuring alignment with the park’s strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, P&C, Finance, Engineering, Security, and other departments to deliver cohesive park-wide initiatives.
  • Drive a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary on‑site leader for crisis management and guest issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Leisure Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in waterparks, theme parks, resorts, or large‑scale entertainment venues.
  • Deep understanding of water safety, facility operations, guest service standards, and emergency protocols.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and deliver results in a dynamic, guest‑driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision‑making skills.
  • Passion for creating memorable experiences and maintaining world‑class service standards.
