Responsibilities
Review, draft, and negotiate various types of agreements including commercial contracts, MOUs, NDAs, CSAs, leases, licensing agreements, vendor agreements, and partnership agreements. Ensure that all contracts are legally sound, aligned with the company’s business objectives, and compliant with relevant laws and internal frameworks. Draft, update, and maintain internal legal templates for use with internal and external stakeholders. Provide legal advice and support to the CLO, management, and internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. Support in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, including due diligence, contract drafting, negotiation, and post-transaction integration. Represent the company in legal matters including claims, litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes. Liaise with and manage external legal counsel to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal representation. Support the assessment and resolution of legal risks and disputes in a timely and efficient manner. Support the preparation, documentation, and coordination of Board and Committee meetings, ensuring timely distribution of agendas, minutes, and resolutions. Ensure governance and compliance in relation to Board processes and decisions. Conduct legal risk assessments for projects and agreements across the company. Maintain awareness of and monitor changes in applicable laws, regulations, and legal trends that impact the company. Contribute to the continuous development and strengthening of the Authority’s legal and compliance framework. Develop and deliver legal awareness sessions and training programs for internal departments to promote compliance and reduce legal exposure. Manage legal documentation using the company’s document management system to ensure secure, organized, and auditable records. Ensure proper archiving of legal documents including contracts, legal opinions, and regulatory correspondence. Experience
Licensed to practice law in Qatar or another recognized jurisdiction. 6–8 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house counsel roles. Strong expertise in commercial law, contract negotiation, corporate governance, and dispute resolution. Proven experience in managing strategic legal matters and external counsel relationships. Excellent legal drafting, communication, and negotiation skills. Fluency in English & Arabic. Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) Master of Laws (LLM) is preferred Seniority level
