Workshop Controller- PWR
Purpose / Overview The Workshop Controller role is one of the busiest and most pressurized roles. This role consists of handing out work to Technicians to ensure smooth running of the workshop. The role holder will also liaise with the Service Department to be on hand to answer any queries from the Workshop Manager. The role is responsible for ensuring all incoming work is planned then managing the time and resource. The Workshop Controller assigns technicians to tasks ensuring productivity is maximised and that deadlines are adhered to. As a controller, the incumbent is responsible for performance management and development of the team. Organisational Structure Works in tandem with Workshop Supervisor with direct reporting line to Workshop Manager Tasks and Responsibilities
To assist management in implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction levels.
Experience with creating parameters for job activities / Standard Repair / Operating Time for jobs to be done. To distribute and control the issue of work to the Technicians to maximise quality and overall efficiency by
pushing work through the workshop and managing the workflow. To lead, motivate and develop the team to achieve their daily objectives. To ensure a strong relationship is maintained with the parts department to maximise parts availability. To ensure the accurate and timely completion of all job card write-ups and incident reports for each repair
including job completion status To ensure that a safe working environment is maintained in line with the Company’s HSE policy and that
general housekeeping and appearance are maintained at a high standard. As with all positions within the company, you are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.

Requirements
Degree or diploma in engineering / operations or workflow management Experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop is preferred. A hands on leader, with a proven background in people management in terms of achievement through their
team, you will have an extensive knowledge of the operational running of a workshop and business administration, with a strong computer literacy.
Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of an additional language is an asset. Valid Qatar driving license. The ideal candidate must be energetic, self-motivated, a forward-thinking team player and have a stable work
history with excellent communication skills.
