Job Summary

The Loom Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the looms used in the production of polypropylene (PP) woven fabrics for bags and FIBC products. The role ensures efficient weaving operations, high-quality output, and minimal downtime of machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate shuttleless or rapier looms to produce PP woven fabrics as per production schedules.
• Monitor loom operations, including speed, tension, and pattern settings, to ensure consistent fabric quality.
• Conduct routine inspections of looms, detecting and correcting issues such as broken warp / weft threads or mechanical faults.
• Perform minor maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of looms to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets and quality standards.
• Keep accurate production records, including output, machine performance, and any incidents of downtime.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and safe handling of machinery and materials.
• Report any major mechanical issues to the maintenance department for timely resolution.
