Job Description
The Warehouse Operator is requiredto deliver safe receipt, storage, pick, pack, dispatch and transportationactivities in line with regulations and standards in order to deliver customerrequirements within timescales. Maintain and update appropriate IT systems, andresolve queries / issues through the Junior Supervisor and other relevant interfaceteams. Provide SHE and Supply Chainmentoring to Customer members of staff.

Complywith the latest issue of the BAE SYSTEMS Part 145 Maintenance OrganisationExposition (MOE) and general awareness of the defence logistics framework andassociated procedures in relation to the movement of all logistics itemsReceiveall items, checking that all required documentation is present and correct andthat the packaging is intact. Check that part numbers on documentation matchesthat marked on the part or parts packagingQuarantineany non-conforming items for appropriate investigation action.Recordreceipts using the electronic stock accounting systems and procedures currentlyin operationPlacestores and parts demands as required on IMSMaintainthe preservation of materials and equipment whilst in storage or transitEnsurethe storage, handling and movement of hazardous materials is carried out asdefined within hazard data sheets and mandated proceduresPick,pack and deliver parts requests to the customer, checking the right parts aredelivered to the right place at the right time safely, including line sidereplenishmentCoordinationof any Tasking requests that require forklift / vehicle support, providing thatsupport and liaising with the requestor to ensure any access orsupport issues are addressed prior to theactivityCoordinationof Forward Delivery activities, ensuring the QEAF members of staff know whereto deliver to and where to collect fromProtectany materials for dispatch against transit damageIdentifyand report inabilities of supply items to all relevant teamsBeable to coordinate and assist in the preparation of detachment pack upsAssistin programmed / adhoc Stock Taking activitiesPerformingand understanding investigation activities on IMS to assist in and resolve anystock discrepanciesDelivera Direct Line Feed (DLF) service to Depth and Forward, supplying and replenishingall consumable requirements, including POL.Ensurethe DLF Forward and Depth visit schedule is adhered to, preventing anyconsumable racks or POL in-use lockers from reaching nil stockMaintainthe physical storage, issue and receipt into and out of stock of all POL itemsConductWarehouse husbandry and building oversite checksCarryout shift work as required in rotationMentoring QEAF Team members of the Team in effectiveand safe Supply Chain Operations, including monitoring of IMS inputs by theQEAFKey Accountabilities :
Performanceindicators – Assisting in the effective provision of Physical Logistics activities to meetdelivery targets and reporting any impact on Continuing Airworthiness.Understand how individual actions contribute to overall delivery performance.Completionof activities – Perform physical logistics activities ensuring theappropriately documented and airworthinessrecords are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Identify any issues and escalate asappropriate.Procedure / standards – Complywith the Part 145 Exposition and its associated procedures and standards andany other Company procedures and standards, as applicable. Identify and proposechanges, as required.SafetyManagement System – Ensure Human Factors and Error Managementphilosophies are applied to all Physical Logistics activities. Understand therisks associated with Physical Logistics and the means by which they aremitigated and managed.ManagementSystem Assurance – Perform Physical Logistics activities in a manner thatare compliant with the AM&S Governance and Assurance framework, includingsupporting Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits. Support theresponse to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provideinformation to support the relevant reviews. Support the implementation ofidentified improvements to overcome any non-compliance and monitoreffectiveness.Statutory / Regulatory & Legislative requirements –Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding and application ofthe relevant Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework. Support theimplementation of anyRegulatory-driven changes into the PhysicalLogistics activities. Be compliant with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR,EaPW, ISO, etc.ContractualRequirements – Ensure compliance with applicable contractualrequirements, e.g. through support to contract reviews and the incorporation ofrequired changes into Physical Logistics processes.SecurityClearance - Must hold current SCSecurity Clearance statusRequirements
Qualifications / Functional Knowledge :
Understand theworkings of a Physical Logistics operation and the importance of documentationin a safety critical environment.Can demonstrateexperience of using electronic asset tracking / warehouse storage systems.Knowledge of BAES / customer and supplier logistics processes.Relationship buildingskills in order to build working rapport with the line and suppliers andproblem solving skills to ensure quick resolution of items shortages to theline.This person would beseen, as a competent individual in operational supply chain activities, be ableto support the processes, propose improvements and add value to the day-to-day running of the operation.Prefer a workingknowledge of Export Control requirements including ITAR / EAR regulations and themovement of Classified equipmentValid Driving Licence(UK)Institute of Supply Chain Management Level 3, NVQ3Award or its equivalent is desirable but not essential.#J-18808-Ljbffr
