Job Summary
The Leisure and Recreation Receptionist is responsible to provide administrative support and excellent customer service to guests and members at leisure and recreation facilities such as fitness centers, spas, or sports clubs. They are responsible for greeting visitors, answering inquiries, handling reservations and bookings, and assisting with membership or guest registrations. Additionally, they may process payments, maintain facility schedules, and ensure that guests have a positive experience. Overall, their role is to ensure smooth operations and enhance the overall enjoyment of guests and members at the leisure and recreation facility. Responsibilities
Oversee all reservations, payment and tracking procedures for the pool, beach and recreation facilities as required. Create a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere. Issue and retrieve locker keys and towels before and after use. Promote all classes, activities and services that are offered within the club. Post charges in micros that may be incurred by Guests and members and carry out correct accounting procedures. Assist the Fitness Instructor in ensuring that all members and Guests follow safety procedures, rules and regulations. Periodically check on the cleanliness and order of the locker facilities; ensure all the reception area is tidy and clean, and that materials (e.g., towels, newspapers, magazines and advertising material) are readily available. Encourage sales through full product and price knowledge of offered and available facilities. Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment. Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Job Knowledge & Skills
Proficiency in providing excellent customer service, including greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional and friendly manner. Knowledge of administrative tasks such as managing appointments, processing payments, maintaining records, and handling reservations and bookings. Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with guests, members, and colleagues, and convey information clearly and accurately. Strong organizational skills to manage reception area duties, maintain facility schedules, and ensure that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently. Understanding of the services and amenities offered at the leisure and recreation facility, including fitness programs, spa treatments, and sports activities, to assist guests and members effectively. ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills. Job Experience
