Overview
Our client, major LNG Operator in Qatar, is hiring for Static Equipment Lead to work on a major offshore project (Offshore Brownfield & Greenfield scope). This is a contract and residential role based in Qatar with initial contract duration of 3 years (renewable).
Responsibilities
- Lead static equipment / mechanical activities for a major offshore expansion project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g., specifications, data sheets) fully comply with deliverables and standardized processes. Provide design support to the Engineering Manager, ensuring high-quality execution of all project elements.
- The Static Equipment Lead will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance on mechanical / static equipment. The role ensures design of mechanical equipment, and compliance with Company and international standards to enhance asset reliability and safety.
- Participate in key design workshops and ensure that recommendations are correctly implemented and actions closed (3D model review, Lessons Learned, Value Engineering, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, engineering criticality assessment, etc.).
- Support Offshore Engineering Manager in monitoring the contractor’s progress on delivery of the required Static Equipment documents for Topsides and Pipeline disciplines.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respective disciplines involved in delivery of the mechanical equipment, and ensure endorsement of Technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
- Supervise and manage Engineering interface for mechanical equipment for Topsides, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) with Operations, the pipelines from the topsides perspective, and the Onshore Project Team.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Knowledge and / or Experience : Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as Mechanical Engineer in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.Technical and Business Skills :Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multicultural teams in offshore environments.Excellent report writing and presentation skillsA high level of proficiency in written and spoken EnglishComputer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applicationsGood knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping, pipeline, structural, instrument, telecom, piping and electrical.#J-18808-Ljbffr
