Job Description : Lifting / Rigging Supervisor

Job Title : Lifting / Rigging Supervisor

Industry : Oil and Gas

Work Location : Qatar

Salary : ₹1,40,000 Per Month

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and coordinate all lifting and rigging operations to ensure safe and efficient execution of tasks.
  • Inspect and certify lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement detailed lifting plans in collaboration with project teams.
  • Monitor and assess site conditions to mitigate risks and ensure safety during lifting operations.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and support to rigging teams to ensure adherence to established procedures.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for lifting personnel before the commencement of operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of lifting activities, including incident reports and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Ensure all lifting equipment is regularly inspected, maintained, and certified as per regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address specific lifting challenges and optimize workflows.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving issues related to lifting operations on-site.

Essential Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lifting Supervisor in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Prior experience in Qatar is mandatory.
  • TUV Certification (3 or 5 Days) is a MUST.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (degree in engineering or a related field preferred).
  • Must be locally available in Qatar for immediate hiring.

    • Skills Required :

  • Strong knowledge of lifting and rigging techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Proficient in interpreting lifting plans, technical drawings, and load charts.
  • Familiarity with international safety standards and best practices in lifting operations (e.g., LOLER, ASME).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer software for documentation and reporting.
