Primary Purpose Of The Job
Responsible for leading and governing the provision and maintenance of business continuity management systems and processes to ensure QatarEnergy's business continuity arrangements and capabilities meet the highest quality standards, comply with legislative and international standards, and address all relevant scenarios.
Required Experience And Skills
MEng / MSc in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Continuity Management, or related disciplines is advantageous.
Expert knowledge in business continuity planning, emergency, and crisis management.
Proven ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups, leveraging technical and interpersonal skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with leadership and motivational abilities, and engagement with strategic stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate across teams.
Strong analytical skills to recognize trends, assess risks, and identify root causes.
Sound judgment in problem-solving, evaluating options, and decision-making on complex health and safety issues.
Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
At least 10 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries, focusing on business continuity, strategic or contingency planning, crisis management, emergency preparedness, and IT disaster response.
Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
Educational Qualifications
BEng / BSc in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Continuity Management, Emergency Management, or related disciplines.
