About the Role :

Provide constructability input to new plant / facility project that involves marine construction and managing construction activities within a multi-disciplines and single discipline projects assigned to support Project Execution Head / Project Manager in executing the highly critical brownfield and greenfield construction of CAT-I / II project from Pre Gate 2 or planning, execution and hand over.

Marine Construction Lead

Location :  Qatar

Industry :  Oil & Gas

Experience :  8 years

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Degree in engineering or science majoring Engineering in the area of specialization and Marine is recommended
  • 10 years’ experience in area of specialization within oil and gas industry of which 4 years are in project management construction role.
  • Computer literate, with advanced knowledge of all relevant engineering software tools, systems and tools.

Key Responsibilities :

  • FEED & Site Visits : Participate in constructability reviews and site visits; provide inputs on critical lifts, accessibility, and execution planning. Contribute to early project execution planning with schedule and cost estimates.
  • Safety Oversight : Review contractor method statements, execution and SHE plans. Participate in safety walks, monitor performance, and support incident investigations.
  • Constructability & Risk Reviews : Engage in conceptual design reviews, brownfield planning, and site verification. Identify execution risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure project execution aligns with technical and QA / QC standards. Support inspection processes including FAT and shop inspections.
  • Project Execution Support : Apply lessons learned, manage construction interface agreements and eMOCs. Confirm readiness for commissioning and handover.
  • Technology & Planning Feedback : Evaluate construction techniques and contractor strategies. Advise on resource planning and marine construction optimization.
  • Schedule Management : Analyze project schedules, identify critical paths, and develop mitigation plans for risks (e.g., weather, access). Benchmark against industry norms
