Survey Assistant Location : Qatar (Onshore & Offshore)

Contract Type : 3-year secondment via agency with extension possible

Work Schedule : 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

About the Role We are seeking a Survey Assistant to independently perform detection and mapping of underground and above-ground utilities and facilities in oil and gas operational areas. The role requires hands‑on experience with advanced survey equipment, GNSS, Total Stations, and software such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct field surveys and produce drawings without supervision.

Detect and map underground utilities / services.

Extract data from multidisciplinary engineering drawings.

Maintain survey equipment and ensure accuracy of outputs.

Produce cartographic quality maps in AutoCAD and ArcGIS.

Transport surveyors and equipment safely to project sites.

Requirements

Diploma in Land Surveying or related field.

Minimum 6 years’ experience in land surveying, including at least 2 years in oil and gas.

Proficient in GNSS, Total Station, Digital Level, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD.

Ability to work long hours in hot / cold conditions onshore and offshore.

Budget (Survey Assistant)

Day rate : QAR 584

Housing allowance : QAR 5,000 / month

Transport allowance : QAR 1,300 / month

Air tickets provided every 5.5 months, additional cost to be added as applicable.

Other benefits include medical insurance, PPE, paid leave (1 day per month), 5 sick days / year, visa support, and meal provision at certain sites.
