Application Engineer – AMI

Overview

Accountable for the end-to-end solutions and provision of technical leadership to ensure compliance with, security, scalability, flexibility, maintainability and other non-functional requirements. Responsibilities

Responsible for articulating the architectural vision, conceptualizing and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches, creating models and component and interface specification documents, and validating the architecture against requirements and assumptions. Be the technical interface to suppliers and customers during phases of a project and to coordinate with KM relative department all technical issues related to AMI Operation and maintenance. Presentation of complex technical solutions to both technical and non technical audiences. Continuously expand his knowledge & specialization of technology & design patterns and products. Review designers, recommend development, identify and understand technical opportunities, constraints and issues with a solution given existing components in place. IT strategic development and planning, portfolio management and future expansions directions. To coordinate the planning, design, and installation equipment in an industrial environment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers. Data migration and system integration. Gathering requirements, writing specifications and test plans. Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent Minimum 8 years experience, with at least two years in applications / software / solutions architectures engineering. Development experience in C#, Java and MySQL database Experience with serial interfaces (RS232, SPI) Asset) Experience with Embedded firmware in C (Asset) Experience with ZigBee, WiFi, Z-Wave applications (Asset) Previous Support and FAE experience (Asset) Experience with a bug tracking system About The Company
