Responsibilities

Design LAN, CAN, WAN data, voice and video architecture.

Configure and implement routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS (internal, external, and service provider).

Analyze networking metrics and identify sub-par network performance.

Develop reports and trend analysis on bandwidth and network security incidents.

Troubleshoot network intrusion devices for DoD and commercial information assurance tools.

Administer advanced Cisco network products (VoIP and related technologies).

Serve as on-shift training representative for contractors and government personnel on Cisco switches / routers and LAN technologies.

Collaborate on network / system needs; participate in planning, design, upgrade, and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware / software on a project basis.

Provide General IT Management, Networking, and LAN / WAN Enterprise support as required.

Provide O&M, documentation / reports, meetings / briefings, and functional training support as required.

Provide OCONUS / CONUS travel support as required.

Qualifications

B.S. in a related field with 5+ years of relevant IT experience (preferred); or 7+ years of relevant IT experience.

Firewall experience.

Knowledge of what constitutes a threat to a network.

Ability to provide feedback to enhance future collection and analysis.

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server installations in host and compute environments, and Windows Server imaging.

Experience with storage solutions, high availability, DNS, DHCP, network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, and monitoring server environments.

Top Secret clearance required.

Certifications

CCNP

ITIL Foundation (participants have up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification)
