  • Stay connected with regional partners to identify regional market opportunities, and builds working relationships amongst a diverse network of buyers and sellers to assess market demand and provide new offerings.
  • Act in line with the Commercial strategy for the business growth and enhancement.
  • Identify business growth opportunities and lead the generation of sales aiming towards business enhancement.
  • Attend conferences and exhibitions to develop new business relationships and connect with existing and potential customers.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and thereby long term retention of customers.
  • Lead local or regional teams and enable discussions to finalise decisions on business development.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to secure, retain and grow accounts.
  • Present and deliver information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows or conferences by creating informative presentations.
  • Maintain a list / database of prospect clients to ensure the collection of all the client’s information.
  • Suggest upgrades or added products and services that may be of interest to clients and negotiate with clients to secure the most attractive prices.
  • Review client’s feedback and implement necessary changes to ensure the continuous improvement of the Qatar steel business.
  • Provide necessary guidance and work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Operations Team to ensure time fulfilment of customer requirements.
  • Continuously look for new business growth opportunities in the regional and international markets.
  • Stay up to date and remain in tune with all the trends in steel manufacturing to ensure that the offers remain relevant.
  • Collaborate with management on sales goals, planning and forecasting to ensure that the short- and long-term business development plans are maintained.
  • Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

    • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
    • Continuous Improvement

    • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
    • Reporting

    • Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.
    • Quality, Health, Safety & Environment

    • Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
    • Related Assignments

    • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed by the line manager.
    • Minimum Qualifications :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or any other related field.
    • Minimum Experience :

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales.
    • Manufacturing / steel industry experience is preferred.
    • Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical) :

    • Proficiency in English, Arabic is preferred
    • Specialist skills and knowledge in own area plus general knowledge and understanding whole Section.
    • Full understanding of plant and process specifications and parameters.
    • Very good knowledge and understanding of process calculations and computations.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentsVery good supervisory and people management skills.
    • Excellent planning and organising skills.
    • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, on own initiative.
    • Excellent problem solving skills.
    • Ability to understand financial planning and budgeting processes.
    • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
    • Technical and business report writing skills.
