We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Manager to join our team in Doha Qatar. As the Credit Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing our organizations credit policies managing credit risk and ensuring optimal cash flow. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Develop implement and maintain credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk
- Analyze credit applications and financial statements to assess creditworthiness of potential and existing customers
- Establish credit limits and terms for customer accounts based on thorough risk assessmentMonitor customer accounts identify potential credit risks and implement appropriate actions to mitigate them
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to balance credit risk with business growth objectives
- Negotiate payment terms and develop strategies to resolve delinquent accounts
- Prepare and present regular reports on credit performance bad debt and collections to senior management
- Ensure compliance with local and international credit laws and regulations
- Manage and mentor the credit team providing guidance and support as needed
- Continuously improve credit management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in credit management
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. CCP CICP) is a plusMinimum of 5 years of experience in credit management or a related fieldIn-depth knowledge of credit analysis risk assessment and financial statement interpretationProficiency in credit management software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)Strong understanding of local and international credit laws and regulations particularly those applicable in QatarExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailOutstanding communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers colleagues and senior managementDemonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on financial data and risk analysisStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlinesExcellent organizational and time management skillsFluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plusAdditional Information
