  • Min 10 years' experience, at least five 5 years of which must have been in a senior maintenance role, in the execution of major projects and / or performance improvement projects in shipyard.
  • BSc in mechanical, electrical or process engineering.
  • Membership of an appropriate international professional body.
  • Registered as (or formally working towards) Incorporated Engineer or equivalent.
  • Lead the Maintenance function to deliver both breakdown and preventive maintenance across all operational equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability through a multi-skilled maintenance approach, aligning with the organization's deliberate maintenance strategy.
  • All activities should be carried out in compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and safety standards to support sustainable operations and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and ensure the effective execution of all maintenance functions, including proactive planning, scheduling, and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Enhance site operational effectiveness by developing and enforcing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), improving project delivery, increasing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and reducing downtime.
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary maintenance teams to deliver technical excellence and industry best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance policies, procedures, and systems aligned with modern maintenance strategies.
  • Drive departmental performance by managing delivery against Continuous Improvement KPIs.
  • Promote and implement modern maintenance principles by identifying operational deficiencies, recommending improvements in policies, processes, training, and work practices.
  • Act as a mentor and leader within the maintenance function, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and performance excellence.
