Overview

Process Support Engineer | Permanent Role | Qatar

Employment Type : Permanent (Direct Hire)

Industry : Petrochemicals

Responsibilities

  • Drive safe, reliable, and efficient operations through process optimization initiatives.
  • Investigate production issues and implement root cause-based corrective actions.
  • Enhance unit monitoring (yields, quality, flow rates, catalysts, etc.) using advanced tools.
  • Support PHA, MOC & plant modifications, including engineering design and implementation.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and process safety measures.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze process data, prepare reports, and support decision-making.
  • Lead or participate in technical evaluations, vendor selections, and chemical approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Process Engineering within the Petrochemical / O&G industry.
  • Expertise in : Polyethylene, Ethylene, Sulfur, AGRU, Utilities.
  • Process simulation & troubleshooting.
  • Process documentation, P&IDs, ESD, control narratives, PRVs.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
