About the Business Unit :

The Technology Unit within Ooredoo is the backbone of the organization, providing all technology services that enable Ooredoo to deliver its services across all platforms 24 / 7 / 365. It manages all networks, technology infrastructure, platforms, and processes to achieve fast time-to-market, high operational efficiency, support product / service innovation, and drive financial performance. This division handles planning, technical design, implementation, and modifications, including new and change requests for IaaS and ICT Platforms, as well as monitoring operations involving networking, storage, servers, virtualization / containerization, and cloud computing. It also manages the Internal IT Helpdesk effectively.

About the Role :

This role leads the planning, technical design, implementation, and modification—including new and change requests—for IaaS. It involves consolidating distributed IaaS efforts and implementing multi-cloud architecture. The role also monitors the operations of IaaS components, including networking, storage, servers, virtualization / containerization, and cloud computing. For more details, please click here .

About You :

• 12 years of experience in a similar role.
• Significant experience in the Telecommunications Industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of Telecom Business Models, Operating Environments, and Processes across Technology, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, and Telecom BSS / OSS IT and Software Systems.
• Subject matter expert level expertise in infrastructure and IaaS platforms.
• Proven experience in planning, designing, and deploying data centers, IaaS, and edge computing.
• Good knowledge and experience in Program / Project Management, Team Leadership, Vendor Management, Contract Management, and infrastructure planning & designing.
• Cultural awareness and experience working in the Middle East and / or Qatar, with an understanding of local market dynamics, is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Telecom, Computer & Communications, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
