Quintiq Application Support / Development Specialist

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Quintiq Application Support / Development Specialist to join our IT team in Doha. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in complex, high-performance environments and brings a solid background in Quintiq implementation, development, and support—especially within the Oil & Gas or LNG sector. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Quintiq application configuration, development, integration, and ongoing support. The role also includes support for related systems such as Sigmafine and other subsurface applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute all phases of software configuration, customization, and deployment.

Provide technical leadership in application design, integration, and optimization.

Diagnose and resolve complex application and performance issues, documenting outcomes and recommendations.

Develop Detailed Design Specifications, including architecture diagrams, data models, utilities, and recovery procedures.

Apply best practices in Agile or Waterfall methodologies depending on project needs.

Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to define scope, gather requirements, and align deliverables.

Provide continuous application support for Quintiq, Sigmafine, and integrated systems.

Design and develop scalable software components using Java and Python.

Maintain high-quality technical documentation and contribute to review and sign-off processes.

Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

10+ years of professional experience in IT solution development and support.

5+ years of proven hands‑on experience with Quintiq Applications (Production Planning, Delivery Planning & Scheduling, Optimization).

Prior experience in Oil & Gas or LNG industry is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

Strong background in application development, configuration, and integration.

In-depth knowledge of software design principles and development best practices.

Proficiency in Java, Python, and SQL.

Strong understanding of database environments and structured query optimization.

Familiarity with testing methodologies, quality assurance, and lifecycle management tools.

Soft Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Clear and confident communication skills in English (both written and verbal).

Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional technical team.
