As a Consultant in Epilepsy (Neurophysiology) at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) you will specialize in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and seizure disorders using advanced neurophysiological techniques such as EEG and epilepsy monitoring. The consultant interprets complex neurophysiological data to guide personalized treatment plans, manages anti-seizure medications, and assesses eligibility for epilepsy surgery with support from brain mapping and intraoperative EEG.

Provide comprehensive clinical assessment and diagnosis for patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders.Interpret neurophysiological tests such as EEG and video-EEG monitoring to identify seizure types and epileptogenic zones.Develop and manage personalized treatment plans including medication adjustments and recommending surgical options when appropriate.Lead pre-surgical evaluations for drug-resistant epilepsy, collaborating with neurosurgery and neuropsychology teams.Monitor patients’ response to treatment and make necessary modifications to improve outcomes.Participate in multidisciplinary epilepsy care teams to deliver coordinated and holistic patient management.Educate patients and families on epilepsy management, triggers, lifestyle modifications, and safety measures.Contribute to clinical research, teaching, and continuous professional development in epilepsy and neurophysiology.Ensure compliance with clinical governance and hospital protocols while maintaining high standards of patient care.#J-18808-Ljbffr
