Job Title : Maintenance Supervisor (Asset Integrity)

Job Summary And Purpose

The Maintenance Supervisor (Asset Integrity) is responsible for overseeing the Asset Integrity (AI) team, ensuring maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the Asset Integrity Management System Procedures. The role involves supervising maintenance technicians, conducting inspections and verifications of maintenance works, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and providing technical recommendations for optimizing maintenance regimes or cycles based on incident or failure analysis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee asset integrity operations and verify compliance with established maintenance procedures and operational standards.
  • Supervise and review the following maintenance procedures :

Preventive Maintenance (PM)

  • Corrective Maintenance (CM)
  • Breakdown Maintenance (BDM)
  • Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM)
  • Conduct site inspections and collect data to support the Maintenance Engineer (AI) in preparing Incident Investigation Reports (IR) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for incidents, accidents, damages, breakdowns, or failures.
  • Audit certificates, documents, third-party inspection (TPI) certifications, and calibration records.
  • Verify revisions of Work Instructions (WI), Risk Assessments (RA), Permits, Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) systems, OEM manuals, and HSSEQ guidance as required.
  • Analyze Preventive Maintenance & Services (PM&S) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) — such as PMC, MTTR, and MTBF — to assess maintenance effectiveness.
  • Conduct oversight of plant, system, and equipment asset integrity, including facilities, mobility assets, civil, and infrastructure components.
  • Ensure PM&S competency checks are performed and documented for all team members.
  • Identify training needs, recommend process improvements, and follow up on implementation progress.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting in line with Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions (QSTS) policy.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Section Engineer (SE) or Section Manager (SM).
  • Prioritize personal and team wellbeing by maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols, participating in wellness initiatives, and promptly reporting any wellbeing concerns.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Electro-Mechanics from a recognized institution.
  • Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant maintenance experience (post-degree or post-diploma).
  • Basic knowledge of PM&S operations within a shipyard environment.
  • Familiarity with audit processes, risk assessment procedures, work instructions, permit-to-work (PTW) systems, and LOTO systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for preparation and presentation of reports and documentation.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
