Job Description
Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
Maintain the presentation as requested at hotel / department meetings and committeesComply at all times with Accor standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operationsHandle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas to service themActively participate in daily briefing, daily warm up and department meetingsEnsure Room Attendants are informed daily about VIPs, extras – priority in their sectionEnsure checkout rooms are returned in a timely mannerVerify rooms with Privacy Please indicators and co-ordinate make up with Room AttendantsAssist with and lead Room Attendant, Turndown Attendant, and House Attendant with daily dutiesTrain and coach colleagues on expected standards of serviceConduct daily inspections of guestrooms and floorsBe knowledgeable on all current guest services and hotel eventsInspect show rooms, guestrooms, guest elevator foyers, storage and supply rooms, and Room Attendant's carts to ensure quality of workNotify Room Attendant / House Attendant of any deficiencies found and return to correct when applicable; re-inspect corrected roomPhysically check discrepant rooms to ascertain status. Confirm status of all rooms at end of dayReport any damage, special cleaning, or change of soft furnishings to Royal Service on issues in all hotel areasEnsure all daily duties are completed to standard by Room Attendants and House AttendantMust be able to perform all Room Attendant and House Attendant dutiesWork with all housekeeping staff to maintain and improve guest service scoresEnsure guestrooms have proper furniture, fixtures and amenities and that standards for placement are followedEnsure all Lost and Found items are sent to Royal ServiceReport health / safety matters and follow upConduct proper handover with each day Floor Supervisor to maintain seamless information flowCheck late check-outs and non-checked rooms for status before 6 : 00pmQualifications
Fluency in English (verbal & written) is essentialHigh school diploma preferred, or equivalentMinimum 1-year experience in a supervisory capacity in a hotel housekeeping environmentProven training skillsExperience with Hotel Property Management System (Micros / Opera) desirableMeticulous eye for detail and proactive attitudeStrong organizational, supervisory and communication skillsAbility to convey information clearlyAbility to evaluate and select among alternatives quickly and accuratelyAbility to work well in high-pressure situationsEffective listening and ability to address concerns of coworkers and guestsAttention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness; ability to work with limited supervisionAdditional Information
