A Restaurant General Manager is responsible for managing restaurant operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while training staff and working within budgeted guidelines.
What will I be doing? As a Restaurant General Manager, you would be responsible for directing and administering the activities and services of a designated restaurant(s) in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :
Direct and oversee all daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional food quality, service excellence, and guest satisfaction.
Manage front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams to maintain smooth, efficient, and profitable operations.
Recruit, hire, train, and mentor restaurant staff to build a high‑performing team.
Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that promotes professional growth and teamwork.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to develop talent.
Develop and manage restaurant budgets, monitor key performance indicators, and implement cost‑control measures for labor, food, and beverage.
Drive revenue growth and maximize profitability without compromising quality.
Uphold Forbes standards by ensuring superior guest experiences.
Address guest feedback promptly and lead by example in service delivery.
Create memorable dining experiences that reflect warmth and authenticity.
Collaborate with marketing teams to execute local promotions, special events, and brand‑enhancing strategies.
Maintain brand integrity and build guest loyalty through innovative initiatives.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor laws.
Maintain a safe working environment and enforce company policies and standards.
Partner with the Executive Chef to support menu innovation, seasonal offerings, and quality enhancements.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in restaurant or food & beverage management within a luxury or upscale dining environment.
Proven track record of managing high‑volume operations and delivering financial results.
Strong leadership and team‑building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
Excellent financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Exceptional guest service orientation and ability to create personalized experiences.
Proficiency in restaurant management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
