Mechanical Foreman

Job Description

• Supervise and lead mechanical technicians in performing routine preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Organize and assign daily tasks based on maintenance schedules and work orders.
• Monitor and inspect mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, blowers, valves, piping systems, and gearboxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical faults and guide technicians during repairs.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with operational standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other departments (electrical, instrumentation, operations) for integrated maintenance.
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and technician performance.
• Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies (HSE).
• Assist in the training and development of junior technicians.
• Education : ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience : Minimum 5–7 years in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role, preferably in sewage or water treatment plants.
• Technical Skills : Hands-on experience with pumps, piping, valves, compressors, and other mechanical systems. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret maintenance procedures.
