Instrument Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Install, calibrate, and maintain various types of field instruments (e.g., pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, level indicators).

Troubleshoot and repair faulty instrumentation and control systems.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation equipment.

Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Work with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems as needed.

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

Assist in system upgrades, modifications, and commissioning activities.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., electrical, mechanical, process) for coordinated maintenance and troubleshooting efforts.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Education : Diploma or ITI in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics / Mechatronics or equivalent.

Experience : 2–5 years of relevant experience in a process plant, refinery, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
