Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Maintenance Consultant who drivers of consistent technical excellence in Maintenance Systems Development, ensuring “best in class” solutions.

The Role

Responsible for providing subject matter input and consultancy in support of project and client requirements, in development and implementation of maintenance regimes (., Maintenance Philosophies and Strategies) and maintenance related data (., asset registers, material inventories, maintenance procedures, for CMMS systems (., Maximo, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, .

Primary focus will be on developing documentation and data for CMMS system maintenance builds for new projects (greenfield) and further developing, enhancing, improving, optimising maintenance documentation and CMMS Data on systems currently in use within operations (brownfield), with an overarching objective of delivering maintenance regimes to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes in operations.

A key aspect of this role is ensuring client satisfaction and requirements are met, in developing quality maintenance build solutions, within scope, budget and to strict timescales.

  • Time served or degree qualified with industrial experience as a maintenance consultant
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Performance (CMRP) certification advantageous

Knowledge, skills and experience :

  • Maintenance data builds and data optimization projects
  • Development and application of qualitative risk-based maintenance tools
  • Maintenance, repairs, and spares strategy development
  • Best practice in asset management through Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance consulting theory
  • Diligent and dependable in consistent application of established process
  • Professional demeanour with appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written communication (technical report writing)
  • Asset reliability, availability, and maintainability
  • Asset economics and application of whole lifecycle costing principles
  • Quantitative risk and reliability techniques
  • CMMS, EAM or ERP implementation projects
  • Inventory management
  • IT Literate (Excel / Word)
