Job Description
Job Purpose :
To design, implement, manage, and support the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across LAN, WAN, wireless, and internetfacing systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Network Administration
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controller and access points.
- Monitor network performance and availability using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.
- Manage LAN / WAN connectivity, including site-to-site VPNs and MPLS links.
- Perform IP address management, subnetting, and VLAN configuration.
Network Security
Implement and maintain firewall rules, ACLs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).Enforce network access control policies and segmentation.Monitor for security breaches and respond to network-related incidents.Network Engineering & Projects
Design and deploy new network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks.Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure expansion projects.Collaborate with vendors and service providers for network services and escalations.Wireless & Remote Access
Configure and manage enterprise Wi-Fi networks (SSID, authentication, roaming).Support remote access solutions including VPN, SSL VPN, and client-based access.Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.Generate regular reports on network health, bandwidth usage, and incident trends.Support & Troubleshooting
Provide Level 2 / 3 support for network-related issues.Work closely with desktop, server, and security teams to resolve cross-functional issues.Implement network configurations by deploying and updating routers, switches, and firewalls to maintain optimal connectivity and security. Evaluate network availability by monitoring device health and traffic flows in order to prevent outages and sustain performance levels.Implement network monitoring tools by deploying SNMP-based systems and configuring alerts to gain real-time visibility of network health.Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery testing.Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedure.Collaborate with system administrators and support teams to resolve technical issues.Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software upgrades.Maintain and Managing the CCTV SystemsCoordinate with CCTV suppliers for maintenance assistance.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in network administration or engineering.Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).Hands-on experience with PALO ALTO, Cisco, Huawei, Fortinet, HP / Aruba, or similar network devices.Familiarity with firewall platforms (e.g., FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).Experience with network monitoring and logging tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and documentation abilitiesAbility to work independently and in a team environment.Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on service quality.Preferred Certifications (Optional) :
