Job Purpose
Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of all aspects of structural fabrication requirements from yard activities to load-out, ensuring all key objectives are achieved or exceeded.
Ensure constructability of the design is consistent with established engineering drawings and industry standards, managing issues and resolutions through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams.
Key Job Accountabilities
Ensure adherence to all safety protocols during fabrication.
Manage successful execution of structural fabrication components to meet objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule).
Supervise and control contractor / subcontractor activities related to fabrication and mechanical completion.
Check constructability and compliance of engineering deliverables.
Review deviations to construction standards and ensure consistent documentation.
Identify progress or quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
Review contractor progress reports and highlight critical issues.
Liaise with contractors for fabrication, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
Participate in risk assessments, kick-off meetings, and technical meetings.
Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills Person Specification Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering.
Experience
Minimum 8 years in large construction projects within Oil & Gas, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.
Good knowledge of project execution procedures, fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing, and completions.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with design standards, codes, and safety criteria for fabrication and installation.
Knowledge of offshore / onshore facilities and yard operations.
Understanding of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG facilities.
Experience in large-scale operating organizations.
