JobSummary

The College of the North Atlantic -Qatar is inviting applications for the position of Part TimeEnglish Instructor in the Continuing Professional Education (CPE)department. Reporting to the Manager of Continuing and professionaleducation, must be a proven leader with the skills and expertisenecessary to support the school of

foundation studies infully implementing the College’s mission andvision.

Duties &Responsibilities

This position requires anenergetic and enthusiastic individual who will assist the Collegein achieving its mission and vision by developing technical,academic and occupationally-aligned courses and programs,delivering quality instruction in the associated area ofspecialization, and supporting learning and research consistentwith the principles and goals of an institute of applied sciencesand technology.

Candidates should have anoutstanding record of teaching experience, and possess thequalifications necessary to be successful in the role of Part TimeEnglish Instructor at the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar.He / She will may be responsible for :

  • Developcourse outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, instructional materials andassessments to create an optimum learning environment in alignmentwith evolving professional scopes of practice and industryrequirements.
  • Delivering instruction tomaximize student development and retention, employing a variety ofteaching and development strategies to meet diverse studentneeds.
  • Demonstrate a command of educationalbest practices within the discipline by aligning learningassignments within practical industry-relevantcontexts.
  • Maintain accurate records of studentprogress and attendance and provide prompt feedback, recordinggrades and attendance within establisheddeadlines.
  • Learn, use and recommendeducational technologies and resources to enhance learningexperiences for students.
  • Prepare high quality learningsupport materials using the College’s LMS (D2L) to engagelearners (if and when needed);
