This role involves assisting in executing corporate finance transactions including ECM, DCM, M&A, project finance, valuations, and deal structuring. The trainee will support senior staff by preparing financial models and client-facing documentation, and gathering source data as needed. Responsibilities
Assist in preparing presentations, pitches, reports, and transaction advice. Review financial statements, prepare cash flow projections, and draft valuations and feasibility studies. Help prepare deliverables for clients. Operate within delegated authority levels. Prepare advisory reports, valuations, and transactional structures in line with client mandates. Maintain client relationships. Support customers with queries related to bank products and seek solutions. Ensure activities adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to improve turnaround times. Build effective relationships with internal departments to meet group objectives. Provide accurate data to auditors, compliance, and risk departments when required. Qualifications
Bachelor’s and preferably Master’s degree in Economics, Law, Accounting, or similar fields. Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication in English. Ability to communicate effectively at all management levels. Good interpersonal and presentation skills. High integrity and self-management. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong planning, organizing, and analytical abilities. Proficiency in constructing complex spreadsheets, cash flow models, and MS Excel.
