Salesman

The Salesman in a grocery and hypermarket setting is responsible for assisting customers promoting products maintaining inventory and ensuring a high level of customer service The role requires a deep understanding of the stores products effective communication and a focus on sales targets Customer Service Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding products Answer customer inquiries regarding product information availability and promotions Provide personalized recommendations based on customer needs Handle customer complaints or issues ensuring satisfaction Sales Promote and upsell products encouraging customers to purchase additional or related items Ensure sales targets are met and contribute to store goals Actively approach customers to increase sales opportunities Product Knowledge Keep up to date with product details including pricing new arrivals and promotions Provide information to customers about product benefits uses and features Merchandising Ensure that products are displayed neatly ensuring ease of access for customers Set up attractive product displays and ensure they are organized Participate in store promotions organizing instore events or discounts as directed Store Cleanliness and Safety Maintain cleanliness in the store particularly in the sales area and product aisles Adhere to health and safety standards particularly with food items Ensure the store layout is clear and safe for customers to navigate Desired Skills Experience Education High school diploma or equivalent additional retail or sales training is a plus Experience Previous experience in retail grocery or hypermarket sales is preferred Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fastpaced environment Basic math skills for handling transactions Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Customerfocused attitude Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 25 kg
